MA Probate Records, Vol. 394, page 20-21 Died 2 Dec 1858, probate was filed in Jan-Feb 1859 I. Peleg Aldrich, of Northbridge in the County of Worcester and State of Massachusetts, considering the uncertainity of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following ~ Firstly. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Huldah Aldrich the use and improvement and income of one half of all my real estate which I hold in Northbridge so long as she shall remain my widow, in case she marries one third thereof during her natural life. I also give and bequeath to my wife above named all my indore moveables, my horse and carriage, one cow, also what money I have in the Savings Bank Worcester at her own disposal. Secondly. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Cloe M. Fletcher wife of Gilbert M. Fletcher one hundred and fifty dollars and a piece of land which I hold in Uxbridge called the Cedar Swamp the money to be paid at my decease by my exector hereinafter named. Thirdly. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Sarah A. Carr, wife of Hiall C. Carr two hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by my executor hereinafter named. Fourthly. I give and bequeath to my beloved son Peleg Brown Aldrich all my real estate which I possess in the town of Northbridge together with my wife's dower in said real estate at her decease to him his heirs and assignes behoof forever. Fifthly. I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Cloe M. Fletcher daughter of Gilbert H. Fletcher fifty dollars to be paid by my executor. Sixthly. I give and bequeath to my grandson Loami Baker Carr son of Hiall C. Carr fifty dollars to be paid by my executor hereinafter named at my decease. Seventhly. I give and bequeath to my grandson Peleg Aldrich Fletcher, son of Gilbert H. Fletcher twenty five dollars to be paid by my executor at my decease hreinafter named. Lastly. I give and bequeath to my son Peleg Brown Aldrich all the remainder of my personal property not heretofore given away of what name or nature whatsoever where it may be found to enable him to pay all my just debts and funeral charges. And I do ordain and appoint my son Peleg Brown Aldrich sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 5th day of the 2d month in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty. Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Peleg Aldrich to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the testator.
