David Samuelsen - January 2002 ************************************************************************ Worcester Co., MA, Vol. 478, page 221-222 Thomas Aldrich Case 11763 Be it remembered, that I, Thomas Aldrich of Uxbridge, in the County of Worcster, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, but mindful of the uncertainty of life, d, on this twelfth day of June, in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and seventy three, make, publish and declare, the following instrument, as and for my last will and testament, that is to say, First, After the payment of all my jsut debts, funeral expenses, and charge sof administration, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Louisa Aldrich, all my estate, both real and personal, wherever,situate, and however described. To have and to hold, to her, the said Louisa, for and during the term of her natural life. It is my intention, to give my said wife,a good, comfortable support, and for the purpose, I authorize and empower her to apply, any part or all of my personal estate, to her support, she may need, and if she may need further means, for said purpose, I authorize her to sell and convey, by a good and sufficent deed or deeeds, of conveyance, any part or all of my real estate, to the purchaser or purchasers, and apply the proceeds to the purpose aforesaid, and that she shall not be called upon to an account for the same to my heirs as law, or other legatees, except as to the purposes above indicated. Second, I do hereby give and bequeath, to my son, James K. P. Aldrich, and Sarah S. Darling, wif eof Henry W. Darling, all the rest and remainder, of my estate, both real and personal, wherever situate, and however described, share and share alike. To have and to hold, to them, their respective heirs and assigns forever. Provided, however, if either said James, or said Sarah, should decease, without issue, the share herein devised, him or her, shall go to the other, to be held to him, or her, their respective heirs and assigns forever. Third. I do hereby nominate, my wife, Louisa aldrich, Executrix, of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I the said Thomas Aldrich have hereunto set my hand and seal, the day and year first above written.
