First. I order and direct that my just debts and funeral charges be first paid out of my estate. Second. I give and bequeath to my beloved grandson John A. Richardson, son of my late son Sumner S. Richardson, the sum of Five Hundred dollars to be paid in lawful money, within one year from my decease. If said grandson shall (before the payment of the aforesaid legacy) have died, leaving no issue, said legacy shall be paid to my wife Sarah A. Richardson. Third. To my beloved granddaughters, Mabel Jacobs and Ethel Jacobs, children of my late daughter, Ann Maria Jacobs. I give and bequeath to each of them the sum of Five Hundred dollars, to be paid in lawful money within one year from my decease, If either of said granddaughters shall (before the payment of the above named legacies) have died, leaving no issue, the surviving one shall be paid the whole amount that both of them were to receive. Fourth. To my beloved wife Sarah A> Richardson, I hereby give bequeath and devise, all and singular, the rest and residue of my estate, real and perennial and mixed, wherever situated, and however named and described to have and to hold to her and her heirs and assigne forever. Fifth. I hereby make, constitute and appoint my said wife, Sarah A. Richardson, to be the sole executrix of this my last will and testament, and desire and request that she be relieved from furnishing sureties on her bond, in accordance with the law. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal, and publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below, this nineteenth day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred ninety-one.
