Cemetery Information:

The Benjamin Tomlinson Cemetery is located on Kings Road, Ellerslie,
Allegany County, Maryland.  The survey of the cemetery was done by George C.
and Margaret Tomlinson Strickland on July 15, 1978.  On the date of survey,
the property was owned by Ralph J. Lybarger.  The property is also known as
King Farm, and was originally patented by Benjamin Tomlinson as Rural
Felicity.

There is another cemetery on this property called the King Cemetery where
members of the King-Tomlinson family are buried.  We did not survey this
cemetery.

Is heve by afliction no more.

GUSTAVUS BEALL
Died Jan. 1, 1866
Aged _6 years

Marker was down and broken so I do not know how old Gustavus was when he
died.

SALLIE W.
daughter of R. BEALL
Aged 11 years, 1 da

The tombstone was broken.

SAMUAL TOMLINSON COLLINS
Born December 4th, 1825
Died November 23d, 1838
Aged 12, years, 11 months & 19 days

At early dawn,
He sank to sudden rest, gentle and pure.
A breath of evening zephr.

BENJAMIN TOMLINSON of Jos.
Born December 11th, 1752
Died September 30th, 1838
Aged 85 years, 9 months & 19 days

Fell well content,
To leave his race thus scattered off the Earth,
A long the gentle slope of life's destine
He bend his gradual way till full of years.
He dropd like mellow fruits into his grave.

Sacred to the memory of
here lies
the body of Benjamin,
son of Josh Tomlinson
departed this life
Aged  18 y. __m. & __D

The date of death, month and day were not filled in on this tombstone.

There was one marker that we could not identify.  All the writing was broken
off and stone was lying about 3 feet from standing stub of a marker.
