THIS INDENTURE made this 6th day of January 1831 between George Arnold and Rachel Arnold of the County of Fairfield and State of Ohio of the one part and William Wright of the county of Allegany, State of Maryland of the other part. WITNESSETH that the said George Arnold and Rachel, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of $520.00 current money of the United States, to him in hand paid by the said William Wright before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said George Arnold and Rachel his wife, doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said William Wright his heirs and assigns all our right, title, interest and claim both now and hereafter, of that tract or parcel of land called WALNUT LEVEL, containing 390 acres, be the same more or less, it being part of the real estate of Henry Wright, deceased, late of Allegany County aforesaid lying and being in said Couinty of Allegany, State of Maryland, bounded and described as follows: TO WIT: Beginning at a bounded black oak now a stone set, standing on the head of a branch of Wills Creek about one mile from Neamiah Collins now, and running thence west 308 perches, south 10º, west 320 perches, south 60º, east 280 perches, south 50º, east 100 perches thence by a straight line to the begnning tree, the interest of the said George Arnold and Rachel, his wife, in and to the aforesaid tract of land, being the undivided 10th part, For a further discription of the above described tract referred to the patent bearing date 10 Aug 1753 with more fully shown?. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, with all right title and interest whatsoever of them the said George Arnold and Rachel his wife, it being the undevided tenth part, both at law and in Equity of in to and out of the said Tract or parcel of land and premises hereby bargained and sold or meant, mentioned or intended hereby sold ____ of the law so as aforesaid described called WALNUT LEVEL or by whatsoever name the said may be called, unto the said William Wright, his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever; and the said George Arnold and Rachel his wife, their heirs and assigns doth agree to warrant and defend the said piece or parcel of land being the undivided tenth part of the aforesaid described track of land from himself, his heirs and assigns unto the said William Wright, his heirs and assigns forever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF the said George Arnold and Rachel his wife have hereunto set and affixed their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
