AT THE REQUEST of Andrew Bruce and others, this deed was recorded the 20th day 
of April 1805.

THIS DEED made this 26th day of January, 1805 between Susannah Gardner Bruce of 
the county of Frederick & the state of Maryland of the one part and ANDREW 
BRUCE, JOHN NEFF, THOMAS PARKINS and JOHN ECKHART, of Allegany County & state 
afforesaid.
WITNESSETH that the said Susannah G. Bruce for and inconsideration of the sum of 
5 shillings to her in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, 
hath granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed and by 
these presents do give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff convey and 
confirm unto the said Bruce, neff, parkins and Eckhart, them their heirs assigns 
forever on trust for the purpose of building a church or meeting house thereon 
and to be used as a burying ground and to be held on trust as aforesaid for the 
use of the neighborhood and for such persons as may subscribe to the building of 
a church or meeting house thereon that parcel of land lying in Allegany County 
contained within the following bounds and courses, it being part of a tract 
called WALNUT LEVEL, beginning for the part hereby mentioned to be conveyed at 
the end of 230 perches on the first line of the said tract called Walnut Level 
and running thence north 3º, west 12 perches, south 87º, west 13 perches, south 
3º east 12 perches then to the beginning containing one acre of land more or 
less.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said parcel of land and appurtenances to the said Bruce, 
Neff, Parkins and Eckhart, their heirs and assigns forever in trust for the one 
and purpose aforesaid.
IN WITNESS whereof the said Susanna G. Bruce hath hereunto set her name and 
affixed her seal the day and year first above written.
