Allegany County Land Records

Liber A-Folio 330 - 5/13/1793 - Lawrence O'Neale of Montgomery County
sells to Paul Bucey a 97 acre tract called Chance.  Witnesses: Joseph
Kelly and Thomas Beall of Samuel.

Liber 14-Folio 311-5/9/1856 - John North sells to Ashford Willison land
called "Rich Hollow."

Liber 27-Folio 165 - 2/6/1868 - John North sells to Ashford Willison,
tract of land called Head Spring.  Borders land already sold to Adam
Boyer.  Boyer later sold this land to Charles Twigg. North died
5/27/1869.  Heirs completed transactions, Liber 31-Folio 229-4/1/1870. 
Heirs listed are:
Maria Willison and husband Owen; Caroline Wilkinson and husband Thomas
J; Susanna Robertson and husband, Benjamin; Elizabeth Wilson,
grandchildren.

Liber 63-Folio 5/19/1887 - 1/26/1887 - Ashford Willison sells above
land, Head Spring, and Addition to Rich Hollow, SW of Oliver Beltz Road,
to BF Middleton.

Liber 74-Folio 54 - 2/4/1893 - John F. and Louisa HINKLE sell land to
Levi H. HAMILTON.  Land is located on so. side of Baltimore Pike, 3
miles East of Cumberland.

Liber 90-Folio 659 - 9/6/1902 - Safe Deposit & Trust of Baltimore sells
to A.J. Hamilton Appold property, Beach Bottom, Saw Mill, Pine Grove,
Evan RICE tract, Canal Warehouse (Ashford Willison-1878?) Williams Road,
Amanda RICE property, Racoon Harbor, Isaac Shaw property, George
Stafford, Chestnut Spring, Henry RICE, Wildcat Hollow - 918 acres (These
notes taken before I knew how to take notes.)

Liber D-Folio 391 - 9/18/1901 - Nicholas KOONTZ buys from Thomas BEALL
of Samuel, Cumberland Property.

Liber E-Folio 239 - 10/20/1807  - William NEILL buys from William
Hamilton Military lots 1920, 1521, 1182, 458 and 95.

Liber 36 - Folio 306 - 3/16/1872 - John Thomas TWIGG buys from Ashford &
Harriet Willison, Snow Crest Resurveyed (abuts "The Abby"), for $25.
