McNamee this deed was recorded this 4th day of March 1839. This Indenture made this Fourth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine between George Reid and Maria his wife of the one part and Henry I. McNamee of the other. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred dollars by the Said Henry I. McNamee to the said George Reid and Maria his wife in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Then the Said George Reid and Maria his wife have granted bargained and Sold and by these presence so grant bargain and sell unto the Said Henry I. McNamee his heirs and assigns forever the following described property namely one lot Situated on Blocker adition No. 6 with two one story dwellings in front and also a story and a half house occupied at present as a potter shop and together with all and Singular the rights improvements hereditaments and appertinences unto the Said property that of and belonging or in anywise appertaining and the revision and revisioned remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof, To have and to hold all and Singular the Said property with the appertenances thereunto belonging to the Said H. I. McNamee his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever And the Said George Reid and Maria his wife do covenant promise and agree to and with the Said Henry I McNamee and his heirs and assigns that they have good power and lawful and absolute authority to grant and convey the Said premises to the Said H. I. McNamee in manner and form aforesaid Furthermore the said George Reid and Maria his wife do hereby bargain and sell for the above named consideration all their right title claim and interest in and to all property arising or may hereafter arise by law or otherwise from the estate of Moses McNamee Deceased whether in the State of Maryland or Virginia. In testimony whereof the Said George Reid and Maria his wife have hereunto put their hands and affixed their seals this day and year aforesaid written John Wright William Taylor G. M. Reid (seal) Mariah X Reid (seal) The State of Maryland, Allegany County to wit...Be it remembered that on this 4th day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and thirty nine personally appear George Reid and Maria his wife party grantor in the above deed or instrument of writing named before us the subscribers two Justices of the peace legally qualified in and for the County aforesaid, and acknowledges the above deed or instrument of writing to be their act and the Land and premisis therein mentioned and thereby bargained and Sold to be the right and Estate of the above named Henry I. McNamee party grantee also therein named his heirs and assigns forever according to the purport true intent and meaning of the Said Deed or instrument of writing and acts of Assembly in such case made and provided. And the Said Maria Reid did sign and seal the Said instrument of writing before us Justices aforesaid out of the presence and hearing of her husband and being by us the aforesaid Justices of the peace examined privately out of the presence and hearing of her husband whether She doth execute and acknowledge the Same voluntarily and freely and without being induced to do so by fear or threats of or ill usage by her husband or fear of his displeasure declaim and acknowledges that She doth execute and acknowledge the Same Voluntarily and free and without being induced so to do by fear or threats of ill usage by her said husband or by fear of his dipleasure. We further certify that the Said parties so acknowleging are personally Know to us to the party grantors in the abover instrument of writing named. McNamee to be her brother.
