Written: February 3, 1877 Recorded: April 14, 1879 At the request of George M. Reid etal this Deed was recorded April 14th 1879.at.9.00.HH6. This Deed made this third day of February in the year eighteen hundred and seventy seven by and between Robert Reid and Bridget Reid his wife and James Reid and Mary C. Reid his wife, of the first part and George M. Reid and William H. Reid all of Cumberland of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the aforesaid James Reid, Robert Reid, George M. Reid and William H Reid are now seized as tenants in common of a certain tract of land with the improvements thereon, lying in the City of Cumberlnd, Allegany County, and which is particularly described by courses and distances in a deed from J.P.Willard and others to George M. Reid and others, dated the seventh day of April 1874, and recorded in Liber T.L.No.46, folio 121 & 122, one of the Land Records of Allegany County. And Whereas in consideration of the execution of this deed, the said George M. Reid and William H. Reid have hitherto executed for nominal considertion a Deed to Bridget Reid, wife of Robert Reid, for a part of the property described in the deed from J.P.Willard to George Reid and others. Now therefore: in consideration of the premises and the further consideration of the sum of One Dollar and in order to effect an amicable partition of the foregoing Lot of Ground first named, the said James Reid and Mary C. Reid his wife, and Robert Reid and Bridget Reid his wife, do give, grant, convey and release and by these presents have given, granted and conveyed, bargained, sold and released unto the said George M. Reid and William H. Reid, All their right title and interest in and to the following property described as follows. Beginning at a stone standing at the corner of the House in which Martin Rizer deceased formerly resided, which stone is marked "M.R.", and stands on the South side of the road leading from said City to the Mill formerly owned by James Scott and running with the first line of the first named whole tract South thirty eight and one half (S 38 1/2 E) degrees East thirty feet (30 ft) then across said whole tract on a line parallel with the second line of said tract South 62(degrees) West two hundred and seventy one feet (271 ft) to the third line of the said whole tract and with it North twenty and one half degrees West (20 1/2) thirty feet (30 ft) and four inches to the end thereof, then by a straight line to the beginning. To have and To hold the above described last named tract of land to said George M. Reid and William H. Reid their heirs and assigns, in fee simple forever.
