These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations ______________________________________________________________________ 1908 Deed for Jane STEELE to John STEELE Jane Steele DEED to Filed and Recorded Oct. 20, 1908 at 5:00 p.m. John Steele, Sr. THIS DEED, Made this fifth day of October in the year one thousand nine hundred and eight, by and between Jane Steele of Allegany County, in the state of Maryland, party of to the first part and John Steele, Sr., of Allegany County, in the state of Maryland, party of the second part, Witnesseth: That for the consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) lawful money of the United States of America, well and truly paid by the said party of the second part to the said party of the first part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said party of the first part has granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, All my rights title and interest in Law and in Equity in and to the following described piece or parcel of land, in Allegany County, Maryland. Being part of the tract known as ( New Central) and more particularly described as follows:- Beginning at a stone pile at the end of the 29th line of a tract called ( The New Central) it being also at the end of the first line of a tract of land called (Unity) and also the end of the 19th line of a tract of land called ( Yellow Spring) and running thence with part of the 29th line of ( The New Central) which is also the 1st line of ( Unity) reversed North 25 1/2 degrees West and 1000 ft. to a planted stone 1706 ft. from the end of the twentieth and last line of ( Yellow Spring) thence North 53 degrees and 12 minutes East 822 ft. to a planted stone, thence South 36 degrees East 2000 ft. to a planted stone., thence South 52 3/4 degrees West 1500 ft to a planted stone at the end of 1150 ft. on the 30th line of ( The New Central) which is also at the end of 1150 ft. on the second line of (Unity) and also at the end of 1150 ft to the stone at the beginning. Containing Fifty Acres more or less. Excepting, however, from the operation of this conveyance, and expressly reserving unto ( The New Central Coal Company) its successors and assigns, all the coal and other minerals in, upon or under said property, together with the right of ingress or egress upon or under said property to remove said coal or other minerals, and also reserving unto the said ( New Central Coal Company) it's successors and assigns the right to use in common with the party of the second part the roads now upon said property for all purposes. The property herein described and intended to be conveyed being the same property that was conveyed to John Steele Sr., and Jane Steele by ( The New Central Coal Company) a corporation duly incorporated under the laws of Maryland, by deed dated December 23, A.D. 1897, and recorded in Liber. No. 82 folios No. 414 one of the Land records of Allegany County, Maryland. Together with the buildings and improvements thereon, and the rights, roads, ways, waters privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above granted property, with all and singular the appurtenances thereto unto the said John Steele Sr., his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.
