Written: April 7, 1874 Recorded: October 12, 1875 At the request of George M. Reid et al this Deed was recorded October 12th 1875. This Deed made this seventh day of April in the year eighteen hundred and seventy four by J.P. Willard and Mary Willard his wife, George Couter and Margaret Couter his wife, James F. Anderson and Louisa Anderson his wife, John Fisher and Frances Marion Fisher his wife and Louisa Berkley All of Allegany County, State of Maryland. Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Five dollars current money the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration that we the grantors own nothing more in the real estate herein conveyed than the mere legal title, we the said J.Perry Willard and his said wife, George Couter and his said wife, James F. Anderson and his said wife, John Fisher and his said wife and said Louisa Berkley do grant in fee simple unto George M. Reid Jr., Robert Reid, James Reid and William Reid of said County and State all their right title interest and claim in a certain lot or parcel of ground with the improvements thereon, situated in the City of Cumberland in said Allegany County, State of Maryland. Beginning for the same at a stone standing at the corner of the house in which Martin Rizer deceased formerly resided, which stone is marked "M.R." and stands on the South side of the road leading from said City to the Mill formerly owned by James Scott and running thence with said road South thirty eight and one half (38 1/2) degrees East sixty (60) feet to a stone then leaving said road, South sixty two (62) degrees West two hundred and eighty and one half (280 1/2) feet to a large Sycamore Stump on the bank of the second gut from the said road or street now known as Mechanic Street, then up the bank if said gut North twenty and one half (20 1/2) degrees West sixty feet (60) to the lot formerlay owned by Entler and then by a straight line to the beginning. To be held by said grantees as tenants in common. The property hereby conveyed being a part of the same which was conveyed to Maria Reid from Samuel P. Smith, trustee, by Deed dated on the 13th day of July in the year 1864 and recorded in Liber H.R.No 22 folio 90 one of the Land Records of said Allegany County. Witness our hands and seals.
