He was born in Brintsworth, Wilshire, England on 06 Jun 1827 and was, therefore, past 80 years of age. On 3 Sep 1849, he was married to Elizabeth Jones at Pontey Parish, England, both coming to this country and to Frostburg, remaining 3 months and removing thence to Barton, living here since. Mr Andrews is survived by the following children: Joseph Andrews of Mason City Missouri; James Andrews of Westernport; Mrs Calvin Shockey of McComas WV; and Mrs John W Young, Mrs Peter Wilson, and Mrs EM Lewis of this city; and George W Andrews, WH Andrews, Robert Andrews and Mrs William Summerville of Barton and also 2 sisters, living in Newport City England. BLUBAUGH 20 May 1907 Frostburg-Miss Louisa Loar, daughter of Mr & Mrs Harry Loar of Loartown and Mr Jacob Blubaugh a son of Mr & Mrs Jacob Blubaugh also of Loartown were married at the ME Church Eckhart on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock (16 May). BOWDEN 27 Feb 1907 (Reprinted from the Minerva Ohio, Leader - 8 paragraphs long) Mrs Rebecca Bowden, aged 86 years, died Sunday evening 27 Jan 1907, at her home in Minerva OH. Funeral services were conducted the following Tuesday at the ME Church there. Born 12 Jun 1820 in Cumberland MD, her maiden name was Hinkle. She married Joseph Bowden, who died 12 years ago, on 17 Jan 1842. They then spent two years in Frostburg before removing to Ohio. She was the mother of 11 children: Samuel T Bowden of Pittsburgh PA; George M and Annie J Bowden of Minerva; Harry R Bowden of Cleveland OH; John W Bowden of Alliance OH; Charles M Bowden of Cleveland OH; Mrs Myrta O Weber of Cleveland OH; and the following brothers and sisters; Rev George Hinkle of Reno NV; Mrs Elizabeth Crawford of Buffalo NY; Mrs Jane Elbin of Flintstone MD; Mrs Frances Platt of Holden MO; and Rev Richard Hinkle of York PA. BRANT 05 Feb 1907 Joseph Brant, a pioneer resident of this county, died last night at the County Home where he had lived the last 10 years of his life, at the advanced age of 83 years. Burial will be tomorrow at the Centenary Church where his wife was buried 25 years ago. Hillery Brant of Ridgeley WV is a brother. Surviving sons are; Martin and Newton Brant of Hagerstown MD; Jessie, Lewis, and Edward Brant of Pittsburgh PA; and William Brant of Cumberland MD. There were no daughters. BRANT 15 Jun 1907 Mary Ellen Brant, aged 67 years, wife of Grafton Brant near Hazen, died Friday (14 Jun) at 8:00 from the effects of rheumatism having been a sufferer for some time. The funeral is tomorrow from the Elliot Memorial Church and burial at Bald Hill near Hazen, just over the state line. One of a family of 13 children, she was a sister to the late James, Henry, and Jack Hall. Besides her husband are these surviving children: Charles H Brant of Everett; Mrs Hattie Ansel wife of William Ansel of Hyndman; Mollie, wife of Moses Twigg of near Hazen; Alice, wife of Neri Dicken on the Bedford Road; Araminta, wife of Ralph Hite of Little Valley; and rebecca, wife of Emory Boor on the Baltimore Pike. Two sisters, Mrs Sallie Hall Brant of Cumberland and Mrs Elizabeth Jane Brant, wife of Benjamin Brant of Centenary; and brothers, Peter Washington Hall of Mt Savage; and Wesley Hall of Hazen. BROTEMARKLE 29 Jan 1907 Mrs Mary Brotemarkle, wife of Milton Brotemarkle, who lives near the Bedford Road, two miles beyond the Centenary Church over the line into PA, died Monday (28 Jan) evening suddenly. She had not been in good health but death was not expected. She was the only daughter of Jacob Anderson and had one brother, James. She leaves one son, George Brotemarkle of Ohio; two daughters; Mis Ada Brotemarkle of the Western Maryland Nursing Staff and Miss Nellie Brotemarkle a teacher of the Cumberland Valley. She was 54 years old and a member of the Centenary MP Church. Funeral is tomorrow at the Centenary Church. BROTEMARKLE 25 Nov 1907 Henry S Brotemarkle died at his residence 79 « Columbia St. on Sunday morning ( 24 Nov) at 6 o'clock, aged 79 years and 5 months. He is survived by his wife and 5 children: Miss Rose Brotemarkle at home; Harry Brotemarkle of Cumberland; Mrs Fred Robinette of near Cumberland; Charles O Brotemarkle of Kansas City MO; Stanley V. Brotemarkle of Denver CO; and 3 sisters, Mrs HM Hite of Cumberland; Mrs David Smouse of Mt Pleasant Iowa; and Mrs Daniel Smouse of Washington Iowa; and a brother, Samuel Brotemarkle of Kansas City. Services from the Zion Church on the Bedford Road. BUCKHOLTZ 03 Jan 1907 Mr Charles Buckholtz, a traveling man came from Portland OR to claim heart and hand of Carrie V Smith, a daughter of Mr & Mrs John Smith at Murley's Branch ME Church. CHANEY 21 Mar 1907 Mr AM Cheney, a farmer living near Flintstone, died this morning aged 41 years. He had been ill for some time. A wife and 5 children survive him. Mrs Chaney was a Miss Beall, daughter of Mr & Mrs Harry Beall. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters; Mrs John Wilson of this city and Mrs TPR House of Uniontown PA. Services on Saturday at the Mt Pleasant Church. CLABAUGH 12 Jun 1907 Mrs Sarah Clabaugh, widow of the late J Thomas Clabaugh, died Sunday (9 Jun) at the home of her only daughter, Mrs Una DARRIER in Buck Valley, aged 60 years. She was a daughter of the late Baltzer Fletcher of Clear Ridge, Bedford County. She was survived by 8 sons, 6 of whom served as pall bearers, and 5 daughters. Also surviving is DW Snyder of the Alleganian. Interment in Mt Pleasant Lutheran Church in Mattie, Bedford County. CORNELL 12 Jan 1907 Mrs Catherine Jane Cornell died at Clearville at 6:00 Sunday last (6 Jan), aged 55 years. Funeral was Tuesday with interment in the family cemetery. Rev Snyder of the Lutheran Church presided. Besides her husband, these children survive: George, Lewis, Harvey, Bertha, Rochelle, and Mrs May of Everett. She was a sister of Mrs Johnson Steckman of Harrison St, Cumberland MD. CUMBERLAND LYNCHING 07 Oct 1907 Burns Lynched-Killed Patrolman Baker Burial in Sumner Cemetery.[Long article of the killing and lynching]. DAVIS 01 Aug 1907 Mrs Mary Ann Davis, died this morning at her home in Spring Gap at the advanced age of 87 years, death as the result of paralysis. Her husband, the late John Davis died 12 years ago today. She is survived by these sons: Amos Davis, John Davis, Wesley Davis Thomas Davis and Charles Davis all of eastern Allegany County and the following daughters: Mrs Elizabeth Huff of Ridgeley WV; Mrs Margaret Cox and Mrs Laverne Boyd - both of Cumberland; and Mrs WB Wheeler of Pattersons Creek. The funeral is Saturday at Pattersons Creek with burial in Flintstone. DURRETT 19 Oct 1907 Mr Roy P Durrett of Grand Avenue, South Cumberland married last night to Miss Artie B Stevenson of Keyser WV. He is a son of Mr & Mrs William Durrett of Grand Avenue, Cumberland. ELLIOTT 27 Sep 1907 William J Elliott, the only son of the late George Elliott of Cumberland Valley, who resided 9 miles out on the Bedford Road, died last evening of consumption. He leaves his mother, Mrs Rebecca Elliott, who is about 85 years of age; and 3 children, Florence, Irene and Russell and also his only sister Mrs Ida Elliott Anderson, wife of John P Anderson on the Reistertown Road in Baltimore. His only brother, Harvey Elliott died in Idaho some 30 years ago. His wife, Miss Maude Boor, a daughter of Oliver P Boor of the Cumberland Valley, died last winter after a considerable illness. The deceased was 49 years and 8 days of age. The Elliott Memorial Church at Hazen was built mostly with money left to him by his father who used it to erect the church which was named in honor of Harvey Elliott. He was a member of the bethel ME Church of the valley. FLAKE 26 Jul 1907 Lone Tree IA- Rachel House was born Sep 3, 1818 in Allegany Co, near Flintstone and died Jul 21, 1907 in Lone Tree IA. She was married to John Flake on Jan 30, 1840 and to this union, 4 children were born; 2 sons and 2 daughters, Jemima and Amos both deceased; James Flake of Lone Tree and Melinda Fuller of David City IN. Her husband, John Flake died in Johnston County Iowa on April 17, 1876. In 1853, she and her husband moved to Iowa, travelling the enntire distance in a wagon, crossing the Mississippi River at Burlington, stopping first at Washington IA. From there, to Iowa City and thence to Lone Tree, where she resided until death at 88 years, 10 months, and 18 days. She was a member of the Reformed Church and a Christian lady. The mortal remains were laid to rest by the side of her husband. FLETCHER 15 Feb 1907 Clearville PA - On Tuesday, Feb 12, Miss Anna L Imes, daughter of Mr & Mrs Thornton Imes married Mr Charles Fletcher of Chapman's Run. Bridesmaid was Anna Pear Pennell and groomsman was Mr Erastus Diehl of near Chaneysville. FLETCHER 13 Nov 1907 Mrs Susan Fletcher, widow of the late Daniel Fletcher, aged about 87 years, died on Monday (11 Nov) at her home on Clear Ridge, Bedford County, from infirmities of old age. Her funeral takes place today from her home. Mrs Fletcher's maiden name was Barkman, a daughter of the late Joseph Barkman of Clear Ridge. She was the mother of Frank Fletcher Esq., a prominent Bedford attorney and of John Fletcher of Clearville, a prominent stock dealer and of Misses Mary Fletcher and Julia Fletcher who lived at the home place with their mother. She was an aunt of Basil Browning of Independence St. and of DW Snyder of the Alleganian, and a cousin of Frank Barkman of South Cumberland. A younger brother, David Barkman lives in Iowa. Mrs Fletcher was a devout Catholic. Burial will be at the side of her husband in the old Fletcher graveyard on the Baltzer Fletcher farm. GEARY 02 Oct 1907 Thomas Geary, a son of the late Martin Geary, died in a Columbus OH hospital yesterday. The remains will be brought to Lonaconing for interment. He is survived by his mother; two sisters, Nora and Bridget; and one brother Mart. He was a member of Division Number 5 of the A. O. H. of this place and also of the Temperance Society. The Hibernian's of Lonaconing have wired the Hibernian's of Columbus to send the remains and they will assume all expenses. Another story on 03 Oct 1907. GURLEY 27 Mar 1907 Lycurgus F Gurley, prominent farmer of this county was found dead in bed seven miles north of this city at Dickens Mills. He was 66 years, 8 months and 10 days of age. He leaves a brother Thomas Jefferson Gurley of this city; sisters, Mrs Amanda Hendrickson wife of Thornton Hendrickson of the Baltimore Pike; Mrs Malinda Dicken wife of Martin L Dicken; and Mrs Ella Rice wife of Leonard W Rice near Centenary; and the following children; Thomas W and Oscar Gurley of Myersdale PA; Howard near Cumberland; Charles R on the Christie Road; Frank at home; Dr Lycurgus Gurley at Johnstown PA; and daughters, Miss Clara Gurley, a seamstress in Cumberland; Mrs May Wentling of Linderville and Mrs Bessie Long of Bedford PA. HAMILTON 17 Oct 1907 Miss Cora E Hamilton, dau of Mr James H Hamilton of Twiggtown and Mr Clarence P Arnold, son of Mr % Mrs WH Arnold of Bedford St were married last night in the Bedford St ME Church by Rev William E Melvin. HINKLE 22 Jul 1907 Mrs Catherine W Hinkle, widow of Leonard Hinkle, died yesterday afternoon at her home on the Baltimore Pike, 6 miles from Cumberland, aged 80 years. Death was the result of paralysis which she sustained a week ago. She is survived by 3 sons and 5 daughters; FA Hinkle; Harry Hinkle; GL Hinkle; and Mrs JH Beall, Miss Annie Hinkle; Mrs PJ Robinette; Mrs ED Elliott; and Mrs WA Huse. HITE 03 Aug 1907 Mrs Amanda Hite, widow of the late Albert Hite, died this morning at her residence of a daughter, Mrs Benton Cessna of Mt Savage. She was 63 years old and is survived by 3 daughters, 4 sons, and 2 sisters. The funeral will be Monday afternoon from the Bethel Church near Centreville PA. LASHLEY 08 May 1907 Mr Jacob Lashley, father of Thomas B Lashley, a cashier at the Commercial Savings Bank, this city, died at his home in Flintstone last night at 9:20 o'clock, aged 84 years, from infirmities of old age. He was born and lived in Flintstone all his life. From 1870 to 1883 he conducted business in Flintstone under the name of Turner & Lashley. He then withdrew from the firm and was succeeded by his son Thomas B Lashley. From 1870-1885 he was the postmaster in Flintstone. He was a member of the ME Church for 50 years. His wife, Miss Louisa Elbin died several years ago. He is survived by 4 sons; William Lashley, Thomas B Lashley, CG Lashley and JM Lashley and also one daughter Mrs James Ash. LEASURE 24 Dec 1907 Mr Jesse Leasure died at his home on Baltimore Avenue Extended early this morning, aged 43 years. He is survived by a wife and 9 grown children. Diabetes was the principle cause of his death. Burial in the Greenmount Cemetery. LEASURE 06 Sep 1907 Chapman's Run PA- William Elza Leasure died here Tuesday (4 Sep) afternoon at his home. He was born in WV 65 years ago. When about 20 years of age, he enlisted in the Ohio Volunteers. He is survived by a wife and 8 children, namely; James S Leasure and John Leasure of Cumberland; Mrs Susan Valentine of Fair Hope PA; Mrs Henrietta Smith of Piney Creek PA; Mrs Rebecca Ward of Chapman's Run; and Agnes, Tolbert, and George all at home. LUTZ 27 May 1907 Mrs Barbara Lutz died at her residence on Grant St, Frostburg at 4:30 o'clock this morning, aged 75 years. The following children survive: Mrs William Engle, Mrs Peter Lammert and Mr Fred Lutz- all of Frostburg; Conrad Lutz of Midland; and John Lutz of Cincinnati OH. Services at the Zion Church with burial in the German Lutheran Cemetery of Frostburg. McELFISH 06 Apr 1907 Mr George McElfish died at his fathers residence in Beans Cove yesterday morning at 1:30 at the age of 31 years. He was unmarried and employed as a carpenter. The funeral is tomorrow at St Ambrose Church in Beans Cove with interment in the church cemetery. MIDDLETON 02 Apr 1907 Funeral of Miss Bernice Middleton, aged 16 years who died Sunday afternoon (30 Mar) at the Western Maryland Hospital of typhoid fever, occurred at the ME Church in Frog Hollow near Spring Gap. She is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Thomas Middleton. MIDDLETON 28 Mar 1907 Miss Fannie Middleton of this city was married last Saturday (23 Mar) at Warren Ohio to Mr Edward Walker Smith of Youngstown Ohio. Mr Smith is in the granite and marble business and they will reside in Youngstown. MILLER 19 Sep 1907 Jeremiah Miller, aged 63 years, died at his home in the Cumberland Valley, last night of infirmities of old age. Four sons and two daughters, all grown, survive him. Burial in Fellowship Cemetery. MORGAN 09 Jul 1907 Samuel Morgan, aged 63 years, a farmer living 8 miles east of Cumberland in Pleasant Valley, died this morning from a stroke of paralysis that occurred yesterday morning. He had been suffering from a cancer of the left cheek. He leaves a widow, Miss Catherine Robertson, originally from Paw Paw, one daughter married to David Deetz on Martins' Mountain, and 8 sons; William Morgan of Green Ridge; Scott Morgan and Charles Morgan, both married and living in Pleasant Valley; Thomas Morgan of Boyce VA; and Walter, Frank, Merten, and Chester Morgan living at home. A bachelor brother James Morgan living with him land a sister Mary on Glenn St in Cumberland. He was a member of Prosperity Church near his home where his funeral will be held. O'NEAL 02 Oct 1907 James William O'Neal and Miss Grace Lanetta McElfish were married this morning at Kingsley ME Parsonage by Rev WF Roberts. The groom is a mechanic in Braddock PA and the bride is a daughter of Mr & Mrs Philip H McElfish of the Six Mile House on the Baltimore Pike. They will reside at Wilkinsburg PA. O'NEAL 22 Apr 1907 Mrs Deborah O'Neal celebrated her 80th birthday at her home, 7 Reynolds St yesterday (21 Apr). Granddaughters Misses Mary and Effa Wilson served dinner. She is the daughter of the late David Cheney of Murleys Branch. In 1846, she married David Smith and moved to Cumberland where he was engaged with his father James Smith in the undertaking business. Mr Smith died in 1860 leaving a widow and 5 children: Mrs SF Wilson-deceased; James D Smith-deceased of Davis WV; IH Smith of Linderville; and Misses Lucy and Emily Smith. In 1869, she married the late Edward O'Neal who died in 1887 leaving her with two more daughters; Mrs Laura D Moore and Mrs Effa J Rinker of this city. She has 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. OLD LIBERTY TREE 13 Sep 1907 Article of a tree repair of the Old Liberty Tree of St John's College in Annapolis MD [Noted on the day of the dismantling of the tree in 1999]. PERDEW 29 Jul 1907 Bessie May Clingerman of Piney Creek and Calvin Campbell Perdew of Pratt were married in Cumberland on Tuesday morning last (23 Jul) at the ME church, Rev WW Barnes presided. RICE 06 Aug 1907 Thomas B Rice, aged 66 years, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at his home near Twiggtown and will be buried tomorrow at Pleasant Grove. Interment will be in the Bowden Cemetery on the Baltimore Pike. He leaves 4 sons; Columbus Rice, Marion Rice, Millard Rice, and Richard Rice, all of the same neighborhood. RICE 13 Jun 1907 Mr Alfred Rice, aged 77 years, died yesterday afternoon at his home on the Williams Rd, 7 miles East of Cumberland. He had been ill for about 6 months. He is survived by a wife and these children: Mr JE Rice and George T Rice of this city; Harry Rice and Sanford Rice of Irons Mountain; Miss Annie and Mrs Bertha George of this city. Services from the home with interment in the family cemetery. ROBINETTE 03 Aug 1907 Mrs Louise Robinette, wife of Neil Robinette of Davis WV, died at her residence at that place this morning at 6 o'clock after a lingering illness of one year, aged 63 years. She was formerly a Miss Louisa O'Rourke of the area of Hancock MD. The family formerly resided in Flintstone, but moved about 3 years ago. The following children survive: Mrs BW O'Rourke and Mrs JD Anderson of this city; Mrs JW Anderson of Flintstone, and Mrs JC Wilson of Washington DC. ROBINETTE 27 May 1907 Moses Robinette died yesterday afternoon at his home in Flintstone, aged 94 years and 8 months of old age. He was the father of 12 children, 11 of which still survive: George Robinette; EW Robinette, and Jeremiah Robinette of Pratt; Mrs Hannah Willison of Gilpin; Mrs Frank Troutman and Mrs Columbus Ruby of Cumberland; Thomas Robinette of Paw Paw; Hanson Robinette of Everett; Thornton Robinette of Baltimore; Henry Robinette of Cresaptown; and Misses Ida and Mary Robinette of Flintstone. ROBISON 09 Nov 1907 A remembrance poem for Levi Robison who died 19 Sep 1907. His departure is survived by a wife and the following children: George M Robison of Bier MD; Arthur Robison of Black Oak Grove; Samuel Robison Jr. of Dawson; Hiram Robison of Rawlings; Mrs Mary Jenkins of Cumberland; Mrs Bessie Hart of Dawson; Mrs Emma Lemaster of Eckhart; a sister, Mrs Elizabeth Waxler of Dawson; and a brother Joshua Robison of Cresaptown. SHAW 09 Nov 1907 Mrs John Shaw, relict of the late John Shaw, died at 1 o'clock this morning at her residence at Laurel Hill near Moscow, this county, aged 79 years and 3 months. Mrs Shaw was the daughter of the late George Michael of Garrett Co and is survived by 11 children, 8 sons and 3 daughters, all of whom were at her bedside at the hour of dissolution. Funeral is Monday at 1 o'clock from the residence. SHERTZER 18 Mar 1907 Mr Andrew Shertzer, the well known junk dealer, died yesterday morning at 6:00 oclock after an illness of several weeks, aged 51 years. He has a wife surviving but no children. He was born in Cumberland 16 May 1855, a son of the late Leonard Shertzer. A mother, two sisters, and Mr Shertzer, make 4 deaths in the family within the last 3 years. Two brothers; J Michael Shertzer of this city and John Shertzer of Vale Summitt and a sister, Mrs AH Shinholtz of this city survive. Services at the Bedford St German Lutheran church with burial in the cemetery associated with that church. SMITH 27 Feb 1907 Philip Smith (better known as "Fip"), aged 67 years, near Artemas, Bedford County, died and was buried at Fairview Cemetery on Green Ridge on Monday (25 Feb). He was a prominent farmer. SMITH 22 Jan 1907 Mrs Kate Smith, wife of WK Smith, died last night at Bond from heart trouble, aged 27 years. She was the daughter of Frank Troutman of Polish Mountain. Both parents, two sisters, and several brothers survive and also, her husband and three small children. Another brother died about 1 year ago. The funeral will be from the MP Church on Bedford Street. SMITH 10 Dec 1907 Miss Bertha Smith, a daughter of Charles Smith of near Flintstone married to Mr Robert Morrison of WV at her home last Wednesday ( Dec 4). The bride is a graduate of Central Commercial College and for some time had been a stenographer for a firm at Fishing Hawk on the Dry Fork Railway. SMITH 18 Mar 1907 Mrs Alice D Smith, wife of Reuben Smith, well known huckster living in the Cumberland Valley, died Saturday evening (16 Mar ) at her home, aged 55 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by Pearl at home and Dr Harry Smith, dentist in Frederick. Funeral and burial tomorrow at the Bortz Lutheran Church, north of Centreville PA. STECKMAN 05 Apr 1907 Johnson Steckman, blacksmith at 46 Harrison Street, died at 1:30 today at his home at the age of 51 years, 11 months, and 19 days. He had been in ill health for some time suffering from gall stones. He leaves a widow Miss Mary Diehl, sisters Mrs BF Davis and Mrs Wilson Brant of this city. He also leaves two sons, George Curtis Steckman and Liston Roy Steckman and one daughter Miss Maggie May Steckman. Five brothers survive; Lawrence Steckman at Bruin, Butler Co, PA; Oliver, Lewis and George Steckman at Clearville PA; and Jefferson Steckman at Cherry Run WV. He lived in Flintstone but moved to Cumberland 5 years ago. Funeral from the home on Sunday and burial in the IOOF cemetery Flintstone STECKMAN 19 Mar 1907 Mr Daniel C Steckman, aged 23 years, son of Mr & Mrs George Steckman of Maryland Avenue, was fatally injured at the B & O yards last night. While he was thought to be single, he was secretly married to Miss Lou Hildebrant of N Centre St on Jan 15 at the Kingsley ME Church where the funeral will be held on Thursday with interment in the German Lutheran Cemetery. STOTTLEMYER 04 Jun 1907 Hon. Joseph B Stottlemyer died Saturday (31 May) morning at his residence near Little Orleans and was buried yesterday in the Catholic Cemetery there. He died suddenly, seated in a chair reading a newspaper. Elected to the Maryland Legislature on the Republican ticket in 1891 and again in 1893, was a tax collector in 1874-1877, and a County Commissioner in 1889 and again in 1898. Known as "Uncle Joe", he was 76 years old and is survived by a wife and the following: George and James in the home place; Charles at McKeesport; Miss Bettie, a school teacher; Miss Agnes and Mrs Maggie Davis of Baltimore Avenue, Cumberland. He had been an agent for the Caton Estate for many years and served in the Union Army in the civil war, as a member of Davis P Fiery's Cavalry, made up mostly of men from Washington County. TEWELL 18 Feb 1907 Mrs Nancy Tewell, aged 79 years, died Saturday (16 Feb) evening about 4:00 at her home in Centreville PA. She was the wife of the late Josiah Tewell and is survived by 2 daughters Miss Martha Tewell and Mrs Samuel Nave, both of Centreville. The sale was conducted by Dr WF Twigg, administrator of the estate of Francis & Catherine Twigg and the consideration price was $9000. The farm consists of 720 acres and is well improved with a new house, a barn, and extensive peach orchard and other improvements. WELLER 08 Nov 1907 Judge Henderson this morning granted an absolute divorce to Mrs Rhoda F. Weller from her husband Lloyd W. Weller of Keyser WV and also awarded Mrs Weller the custody of their two infant children. Mr Walter C Capper was the attorney for Mrs Weller and WH Griffith of Keyser was attorney for Mr Weller. WILLISON 18 Nov 1907 Mr Asahel Willison, Washington St, died last night at 11 o'clock in his 84th year. A son of Jasper and Anna Hyatt Willison and a grandson of Moses Willison, he was a man of prominence. His wife Amanda Willison died in 1899. Sons and daughters surviving are: Charles E. Willison, Jasper Willison, and Miss Mary Willison and Miss Emma Willison. A brother, Owen Willison of Paw Paw, and a sister, Mrs Anne Gross, Fostoria Ohio. The funeral is from Emmanuel Episcopal Church with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. WILSON 07 Feb 1907 Jonathan Wilson, who had been in ill health for some time, died last night at 1:00 at his home near the Stone House on the pike near Flintstone at the age of 87 years. The following children survive: Thomas Wilson on Murley's Branch; Mrs Elijah Perdew of Beans Cove; Mrs Elizabeth Fletcher, wife of Clay Fletcher of Beaver City NE; and these children of the first wife; HA Wilson of Johnstown PA; Harry Wilson of Keyser WV; Mrs Agnes Miller, wife of Rev WC Miller of Athens TN; Miss Lucy Ash of Frostburg MD; and Misses Laura and Cora Wilson at home. His second wife whose name was Mathilda Willison, is a sister to Mr Hillary Willison of the Old Stone House. The funeral is Saturday at the Fairview Methodist Protestant Church. WILSON 28 Jun 1907 D. Zollicoffer Wilson died Monday (24 Jun) night at Colorado Springs CO from an operation. He was a son of the late Rev Dr David Wilson of the Maryland Methodist Presbyterian Conference and was married to Miss Etta Growden, a daughter of John W Growden of Bedford Valley.
