Green, Frostburg, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary February 12 with a high mass celebrated in their honor by Rev. Henry Kersch at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Froslburg. The couple renewed their wedding vows. Mrs. Green is the daughter of the late Mary Freal Monahan and John Monahan of Lonaconing. Mr. Green is the son of the late Mahalia Fazenbaker Green and Walter Green, Bloomington, Md. He is a retired coal miner. They are the parents of eight living children: Mrs.Donald Hager, Fairfax, Va.; Mrs. Donald Wilhelm, Frostburg; Mrs. Victor Ryan, Eckhart Mines; Mrs. Kenneth Grose, Chicora, Pa.; Mrs. Jack Kilduff, Midland; Mrs. Daniel Chancy, St. Clair Shores, Mich.; Paul V. Green, Fairfax; and Francis G. Green, Frostburg. They also have two deceased children, Anderson J. Green and Robert L. Green. They have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
