Evening Times (Cumberland, MD) March 16, 1909
A surprise party was given to Miss Laura Myers at the home of her parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. S. F. Myers, on Centre street.  Those who made up the party were:  
Misses June Miller, Carrie Burkett, Ida Mitchell, Pearl Bruner, Natalie 
Shearly, Ethel Hillegass and Anna Myers.  The boys were Willie Bennett, George 
Hartzell and Morton Myers.  The party of young people spent a very pleasant 
evening in various games and a social way.

Mr. W. H. Hill is erecting an addition to his residence on Clarence Street.

Hall Merton, the magician, will be here tonight as the last number of our 
entertainment course of the season.
