“Sunday Times” Cumberland, Maryland, 26 Nov 1944: 
“Honored on 80th Birthday-Mrs. Mary Ann Logsdon, of Barton, was honored on her 
80th birthday with a dinner held Thursday at her home. A large cake adorned the 
Thanksgiving Day table. All of her children were home for the occasion. Those 
attending included Mr. and Mrs. John D. Logsdon, Panama Canal Zone; Dr. William 
Logsdon, Baltimore, Charles S. Logsdon, New York City; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Logsdon, 
Lonaconing; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Logsdon, William, James and Mary Kathleen Logsdon, 
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Howell, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Howell.”
