Mrs. Zumpano, the former Mary Arnone, and her husband were married 50 years ago, August 15, 1898 in Celico, Italy. They came to this country in 1900, two years after their marriage, and settled here. They are the parents of eight children, three of whom are living, two daughters. Mrs. Carmella Pace and Mrs. Anne Altomare, of Worcester, Mass., and a son, Tony Zumpano, this city. They also have six grandchildren. Mr. Zumpano, who is 71 years old, is still very active and works daily at his job on the county roads and in his garden. Mrs. Zumpano, 70, does all of her own housework. She makes many beautiful crochet articles, her hobby for many years. During the reception friends and relatives greeted the couple, who received many gifts. The table was decorated with an array of cut flowers. A large wedding cake, made by a grandson, was the centerpiece. The anniversary marked the first time the family has been together for 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Zumpano are members of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Besides the immediate family, Mrs. Joseph Ferraro and nephew, Pat, of Worcester, attended the celebration."
