Bittner - Meyersdale, Pa., Nov. 26 - Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bittner of 415 Center Street for Miss Alberta E. Bittner, 29, who was killed Sunday night in an automobile accident near Meyersdale. Rev. D. Blanchard A. Black, pastor of the Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiated. Interment was in Union Cemetery. Miss Bittner had been employed by the WPA as secretary to Joseph G. King, supervisor of the division of operations in Area No. 11, with offices in Johnstown. She had resigned last week and was preparing to assume a position with the unemployment office in Somerset Wednesday. Miss Helen Bittner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A Bittner and operator of the car is which Miss Alberta Bittner met her death, was painifully injured. Her conditon today was improved. The pallbearers were John W. Pritts, Earl Younkin, Robert Stoughton, James R. Frease, Sol Speigle and George Lansberry, employes in the office in which Miss Bittner worked.
