Va., April 19-James F. Carey, aged 65, West Fairview street, Piedmont, husband of th late Margaret Carey, was found dead in bed yesterday morning at the home of his son, Joseph K. Carey, Hagerstown, Md., whom he was visiting. Mr. Carey had been an engineer on the third division of the Baltimore & Ohio railroad for 48 years and was retired about three years ago. He had been in ill health for several months and had just returned to his son's home from the Mercy Hospital, Baltimore, Md., where he had been a patient for six weeks. His death is believed due to heart trouble. Although he had been in ill health for some time his family were shocked to learn of his death yesterday afternoon as it was believed he was recovering from his recent illness. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks of Grafton, W. Va., Piedmont Council, Knights of Columbus, and Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. He is survived by two other sons, Francis J. Carey and Emmett Carey, both of Piedmont, one daughter, Mrs. Carl Schrenker, Takoma Park, Md., one brother, John J. Carey, Hagerstown, Md., and two sisters, Mrs. Martin F. O'Brien and Mrs. Calvin Basher, Cumberland. His body was removed to his home on West Fairview street, Piedmont, this morning."
