CONELLY, Mary “Evening Times’ Cumberland, Maryland, Fri 9 Aug 1933: “
Miss Mary Connelly died at the home of Mrs. Mary A. Mullan, Girard avenue, at 9:30 
this morning. She had been in poor health for the last year. Miss Connelly was for 
a number of years a member of the sales staff of several local stores and well 
known as Miss “Mame” Connelly. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret 
Riley Connelly, and was born at North Branch, this county. Surviving are two 
brothers, William B. Connelly, Pittsburgh and Patrick Connelly, Braddock, Pa. and 
a sister, Miss Julia S. Connelly, registered nurse, this city. She was a member of 
St. Patrick’s Catholic church and the church sodality.”
