Father S. J. Clarke, assisted by Father Nolan, celebrated mass and conducted the services, speaking very highly of the departed gentleman. At conclusion of the beautiful Catholic burial ritual the procession proceeded to St. Michael’s Cemetery, where interment was made. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives. The deceased gentleman was born in Ireland sixty years ago and came to America when about twenty years of age, settling along the George’s Creek where he spent the remainder of his life. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. Patrick Devine, John Counehan, Edward Lyons, Patrick Conlon, Thos. Hewitt, all of Frostburg, and Patrick Rodgers, of Moscow. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. John Manley, of Midland; Mrs. John Rodgers, and daughter, Mary, of Gilmore; Messrs. Ed. Brennan, Michael Winn, Thomas Rowan and Mrs. Thomas McHugh, and Mrs. Frank Quinn, all of Lonaconing; Mesdames Pat Cavan and Catherine Breheny, of Pekin; Mrs. Jas. Carey, Mrs. Wm. P.
