Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 19 May 1925: 
"Lonaconing, Md., Mrs. Catherine Cosgrove Dead-Mrs. Cathorine 
Cosgrove, aged 80 years, widow of Martin Cosgrove, died last 
night at 11 o'clock at her home on Dudley Terrace.  Mrs. 
Cosgrove was born in County Galway, Ireland, coming to this 
country when about 20 years of age, and had resided at this 
place for 60 years.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic 
Church, and took an active interest in its affairs.  She is 
survived by three sons and two daughters, Michael Cosgrove, 
Westernport; Thomas Cosgrove, Braddock, Pa.; John Cosgrove, 
this place; Mrs. Patrick Flynn, Braddock, Pa.; and Mrs. 
Edward Walsh, Clarksburg, W. Va.  One sister, Mrs. Patrick 
Barry, this place, also survives.  She leaves 31 
grandchildren and and 15 great grandchildren.  Mrs. 
Cosgrove's maiden name was Miss Catherine Connelly. It is 
probable that the funeral will be held Friday morning from 
her home with a high mass of reqieum at St. Mary's Catholic 
Church. Interment will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery, 
Westernport."
