Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland 21 Nov 1944: 
"Frostburg-Mrs. Ellen (Murray) Cosgrove, 89, widow of Thomas 
Cosgrove, died this morning home of her daughter, Mrs. Russell 
McMurdo, Clarysville, with whom she resided.  Mrs. Cosgrove 
suffered a heart attack two weeks ago and last Wednesday was 
injured in a fall down the stairs.  A native of Borden Shaft, 
Mrs. Cosgrove resided on Park avenue here most of her life. 
She went to live with her daughter two years ago. She was a 
member of St. Michael's Catholic church and of the church 
sodality.  Besides Mrs. McMurdo she is survived by another 
daughter, Mrs. James Clark, Frostburg; two sons, Ronald and 
Leo Crosgrove, both of Frostburg; 13 grandchildren and eight 
grand-grandchildren.  The body will remain at the home of Mrs. 
McMurdo. Arrangements have not been made."
