Cosgrove, 45, former engineer of the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad, died of a heart attack Saturday at the home of his father-in-law, Alvin Costello, Cleveland. A native of Westernport, Mr. Cosgrove served three years in the armed forces during World War II. He graduated from St. Peter's High School here and was a member of Piedmont, W.Va., Council No. 685, Knights of Columbus. Mr. Cosgrove worked for the Mail Pouch Tobacco Company in Wheeling, W.Va., for 29 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen Cosgrove; two daughters, Mary Jo and Katherine Cosgrove, at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Cosgrove, Westernport; three brothers, Michael E. Cosgrove, Cumberland; Francis B. Cosgrove, Westernport; and Robert E. Cosgrove, Washington; and four sisters, Mrs. J.M. Ryan, Westernport; Mrs. Arthur Cross, Washington; Mrs. Roland Nofsinger, Luke, and Sister Maria Joseph of St. Joseph Holy Comforter Convent; Washington. Rites will be held tomorrow in Cleveland.
