Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Monday, July 13, 1908:  
"Mrs. Margaret Cosgrove died yesterday at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Thomas s. Kean, Smallwood street, from old age.  She was the widow of John 
Cosgrove who died forty years ago.  Mrs. Cosgrove was a native of County Longford, 
Irealnd.  She came to America in 1844, residing several years at Mr. Savage, and 
later removed to Cumberland.  She leaves the following children: Mrs. Thomas S. 
Kean and Mrs. John D. Lippold, of Cumberland; Mrs. Henry Miller, of South Chicago, 
and Mr. James Cosgrove, of Ohio.  She also leaves a large number of grandchildren.  
The funeral of Mrs. Cosgrove will take place tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock from St. 
Patrick's church.  Interment will be made in the church cemetery."
