"Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Wednesday 17 Dec 1975: 
"Michael Emmett Cosgrove, 67, of Valley Road, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital. 
He had been in ill health five years. Born in Westernport, he was the son of the late 
Michael P. and Mary Loretta (Cuff) Cosgrove. He was a member of Chief Justice Taney 
Council 586, Knights of Columbus, Cumberland. Surviving are his widow, Marceline 
(Fahey) Cosgrove; two sons, James T. Cosgrove, Cumberland and Francis J. Cosgrove, 
Keyser; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Anne Walbe, Waldorf, Md.; two brothers, Francis 
Cosgrove, Westernport, and Robert Cosgrove; three sisters, Mrs. Veronica Nofsinger, 
Hagerstown; Mrs. Marie J. Cross, Suitland, and Sister Marie Joseph, Oxen Hill. Friends 
will be received in the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and 
tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in 
St. Patrick's Catholic Church."
