Mrs. Henry Creutzburg Passes Away Suddenly This Morning. Mrs. Matilda Cooper Creutzburg, wife of Henry Creutzburg, of Barton, died at the family residence at 1:10 o'clock this morning after an illness of only a few hours. About ten o'clock yesterday morning she was suddenly stricken with cerebro-spinal hemorrhages superinduced by acute indigestion in her bedroom which she was engaged in dusting and fell to the floor, her fall alarming her daughter, Miss Edythe, who was on the floor below. Her son and daughter placed her upon the bed and summoned Dr. S. A. Boucher, the family physician, who on discovering her serious condition, called in Drs. W. Q. Shilling, of Lonaconing and Dr. J. H. McGann, of Barton, in consultation, using every means known to medical skill to revive her. She never regained consciousness but gradually sank until death relieved her suffering as above noted. Mrs. Crcutzburg was born near Poinypool, Wales, in 1850, and came to this country at the age of sixteen years with her mother and step-father. Ann and Daniel James, and her brother, Isaac Cooper. The family located at Barton, where a few years later she was married to Mr. Henry Creutzburg, who was engaged in the mercantile business. Two sons and four daughters were born to them, four of whom, and a brother, Isaac Cooper, with the bereaved husband, survive her. The living children are Enoch F. Creutzburg, Mrs. Floyd Lininger, Miss Edythe M., and the brother, residing at Barton; Mrs. George Kane, of South Amboy, New Jersey, a bride of only a few weeks. One son, Harry Cooper Creutzburg, died in June, 1900, and a daughter, Gertrude, late wife of Mr. P. Clarence Barnes, of this city, died in March 1903. Mrs. Creutzburg was a devout member of the M. E. church of Barton, a kindly and lovable woman, every thought and act was in keeping with the teachings of The Master. At this writing the funeral arrangements have not been completed, but she will be buried in the family lot in Laurel Hill cemetery near Barton, the time and arrangements of which will be announced late. All of her relatives except Mrs. George Kane were at her bedside when the end came. Mrs. Kane will arrive here tonight on No. 7 on her way to Barton."
