E. Darnley, died this morning at 2:30 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Doolan, Mrs. Darnley was born in Scotland near Edinburgh. She had been a resident of Lonaconing 74 years, coming here with her parents when six years old. She was active in the Presbyterian church. She is survived by two sons, James Darnley, Meyersdale, Pa., and David Darnley, Lonaconing and seven daughters, Mrs. John Mowbray, Barton, Md., Mrs. James B. Faneney (sic-Braheny) and Mrs. Alexander McFarland, Cumberland, Md., Mrs. James Wilson, New Haven, Conn., Mrs. John Hardegan, Mrs. William Turnbull, and Mrs. Frank Doolan, Lonaconing. Her descendants include 37 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Mrs. Darnley is survived by two brothers, David and Walter Mackey, Lonaconing, and three sisters, Mrs. Thomas McKinnon, Lonaconing, Mrs. John Sigler, Anaconda, Montana, and Mrs. John Penman, Washington, D.C. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Doolan home. The Rev. Edward J. Travers, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate.
