Raymond P. Davis, 31, died on Dec 29, from wounds received in action, according to a telegram received last Thursday from the War Department by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Miller Davis, of Main Street, Westernport. Pvt. Davis was reported in January to have been wounded Luxembourg on Dec. 24. Pvt. Davis is the father of three children, Nina, Donna, and Robert, all at home. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Davis, Westernport, and three brothers, Clyde, in the Phillippines; Richard, in the South Pacific, and Leo, who is receiving his boot training at the U. S. naval training station at Bainbridge, Md. Pvt. Davis attended Bruce high school until near the end of his senior year. Before he entered the service he was employed at the Luke plant of the W. Va. Pulp and Paper company. Previously he had been employed by the Celanese Corporation and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad company."
