The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Tue 9 June 1981: 
"Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated this morning in the Church of The Assumption, 
Keyser, for Mrs. Sara Marcella Davis, 91, formerly of Keyser, who died Saturday in Hopemont 
State Hospital.  Rev. Eugene Jacobs was the celebrant and burial was in Queens Point cemetery.  
Born in Barton, Md., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Gannon and Bertha E. Kreusberg 
{sic-Creutzburg} Gannon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Groves Davis.  
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Keyser Church of the Assumption and had been active in the 
Catholic Women's Club and the Keyser Women's Club.  She is survived by a son, William F. 
Gannon, Englewood, Colo., and three grandchildren."
