Cumberland Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Sun 5 Feb 1956: 
"LONACONING-James Dye, 76, a former resident, died January 30 
in an Akron hospital. A retired rubber worker, he was a son of 
the late John and Alice (Green) Dye of Lonaconing. Survivors 
include his widow Mrs. Elizabeth James; four sons, Francis, 
Leslie, Irvin and James Dye Jr.. all of Akron; a brother, 
William T. Dye, Detroit; five sisters. Mrs. James Lammie, 
Pittsburgh; Mrs. Simeon Duckworth, Frostburg; Mrs. Robert 
Doyle, Lonaconing, and Mrs. Sherman Bucklew, Gilmore, and 
nine grandchildren. Services and interment took place 
Thursday in Akron."
