John W. Ebersole, 79, of 430 Grand Avenue, died yesterday in Allegany Hospital.
   Born in Stephens City, Va. he was a former employee of the old N. & G. 
Taylor Tinplate Mill.  His parents were the late John and Sarah (Tracy) 
Ebersole.  He was affiliated with the Salvation Army.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Millie Orndorff and Mrs. Belle Steele, both 
of Stephen City, and a niece, Mrs. T. C. Shelley, with whom he resided.
   The body will remain at the Hafer Funeral Home for services tomorrow at 2 
p.m. with Major Elmer Wall, of the Salvation Army, officiating.  Burial will 
take place in Mr. Hermon Cemetery.
