Born here, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Hutcheson) Ferrens. Mr. Ferrens was a veteran of World War II and a member of James P. Love American Legion Post here. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. A. C. Poland and Mrs. Margaret Retallick, both of Cresptown; Mrs. Elizabeth Wilkinson, Piedmont, Mrs. Louis Desclamps, Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Ethel Moffatt, Erie, Pa The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home here where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home by Rev. John McClain. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be accorded by James P. Love American Legion Post members.
