John E. Foote - Lonaconing
   John E. Foote, 76, a native of here, died yesterday in the Martinsburg VA 
Hospital.
   He was a son of the late William and Katherine (Doyle) Foote.  Mr. Foote 
was a member of the Methodist Church.
   He was a veteran of World War I and had served in the 42nd Rainbow 
Division; and was a member of James P. Love American Legion Post and the 
Republican Club.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Freeman of here and Mrs. William 
Delfer, Braddock, Pa., and a brother, Chester Foote of here.
   The body will be returned to the Eichhorn Funeral Home.
