Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Thursday 23 Dec 1943: 
"Barton, Md., Dec. 23-The funeral of Mrs. Christine Stevenson 
Gannon, wife of Harmon D. Gannon, who died suddenly at her home 
last Saturday morning, was held from St. Gabriel's Catholic 
church yesterday morning with Requiem High Mass by the Rev. 
Leon K. Warczyski.  After the church service the body was taken 
to the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, to await the arrival of 
a son, Lieut. James Gannon. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, 
Lonaconing, this morning.  The pallbearers were Alvln Logsdon, 
Adolph Howell, William Kyle, William Chappell, Howard Wilkes 
and Hugh Young.  Among those who attended were: Miss Patricia 
Gannon, Washington; Mrs. Bertha Kelly, Philadelphia; Mr. and 
Mrs. Herman Davis, Keyser; Mrs. Bessie Durst, Miss Effie 
George, Mrs. Ella Rank, Miss Stacia Lannon and Paul Lannon, 
Cumberland."
