ISADORE GARLITZ DEAD
Isadore Garlitz, aged 79 years, a life long resident of Avilton, Md., died at 
his home June 23.  Mr. Garlitz was the son of Israel Garlitz, a pioneer settler 
of Pea Ridge, Garrett county.  He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Garlitz, 
and the following children: Clarence and Wilfred, Elk Lick, Pa.; Lawrence, 
Everett, Washington; Orville, Avilton, and Mrs. John Newman, Everett, 
Washington; Mrs. John B. McGowan, Midland and Mrs. George Winner, Smock, Pa., 
also 37 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Saint Ann’s Church, Avilton, with interment in 
the church cemetery.  The pallbearers were: Enoch Robinson, Walter Chaney, Max 
McKenzie, Andrew McKenzie, Jessie Baker, Wilfred Warn; flowerbearers, James 
Wilhelm and Harry McKenzie.
