"Cumberland Evening Times" Cumberland, Maryland, Sat 5 May 1973: 
"Westernport-Marguerite A. Gillespie, 72, of 322 Maryland Avenue, 
died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. A native of 
Nikep, she was a daughter of the late Edward P. and Anna L. 
(Stowell) Gillespie. A retired assistant manager of the former 
American Steam Laundry in Piedmont, she was a member of St. 
Peter's Catholic Church, Court Sancta Maria 485, Catholic 
Daughters of America, St. Raphael Society, Senior Citizens and 
Victory Unit 155, American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are a 
brother, Edward Gillespie, two sisters, Mrs. Marie Thompson, 
Westernport and Mrs. Howard Blackburn, Baltimore and two 
grandchildren. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated 
Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be in 
the parish cemetery."
