"The Piedmont Herald" Piedmont, West Virginia, Fri 17 Mar 1911: "
Mr. Michael Gilmore died Tuesday afternoon, March 14, 1911, at the home of his mother, 
Mrs. John Gilmore, on Fairview Street, Piedmont, aged 46 years. Years ago the deceased 
was a railroad man, but for a number of years he has been ill from a complication of 
diseases. The funeral took place from St. Peter's church Thursday morning, Rev. Thos. 
E. Gallagher officiating. The deceased was a brother of Mr. John Gilmore, the popular 
clerk at the Kenny House."
