Stephen Chylinski, assistant pastor. Monsignor A. Scarpati, pastor, delivered the sermon. Rev. Leon Warczynski, assistant pastor, and Rev. Dr. William E. Kelly, of Westminster, a former assistant pastor here, were in the sanctuary. Mrs. Edward Pendergast sang two solos, "Night Folds Her Starry Curtain," and "He Wipes the Tear from Every Eye", and Charles Paskun sang "Hymn to the Sacred Heart." Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Westernport. Pallbearers were P. A. Laughlin, James Ward, Thomas Moran, Charles White. Frank McNeill, John B. Determan, John Mullen, and J. Estel Kenny. Miss Gilmore died early Saturday morning at the home of her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George C. Cleaver, 128 Church Street, Westernport. She had been in failing health for several years but her condition became more serious after her arrival here from Washington this summer. She had been bedfast for the past three weeks. A daughter of the late John and Mary K. Gilmore, she was a native of this community and resided here most of her life. For fifteen years prior to leaving for Washington she operated the Gilmore Hotel, now the Potomac Hotel, Ashfield Street. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cleaver, and Mrs. Kate Greenway, Pittsburgh; and one brother, Timothy J. Gilmore, Toledo. Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Margaret O'Connor, Connellsville, PA; Miss Katie Spates, Miss Angela Brady and Miss Irene Condry, Frostburg; Miss Sue Rossworm, Vitus Rossworm, Mrs. Cecelia Ward, Mrs. Angela Rowley, Mrs. Eleanor Kean, Mr. and Mrs. William Rice, Miss Winnie Laffey, Mr. and Mrs. George Stegmaier, and son, Harry, Mrs. Mary Nairin, Mrs. Stephen King, Misses Kathleen and Nell Rowan and John Rowan, Cumberland; Miss Elizabeth Meyers, Lonaconing; Mrs. W. M. Greenway and Mrs. Florence Robosson, Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gilmore, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Martin McGuire and Mrs. Nora Brew of Washington; Mrs. John Hughes, Gormania; Mrs. Gertrude Pennington and Mrs. Ray Durst, Swanton; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Melody and daughter, Miss Louise Melody, Mr. and Mrs. John Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. William Laffey, Keyser."
