Gilmore, a native of Piedmont, who died Monday afternoon at his home, 4048 Fairview Drive, Toledo, Ohio, was held this morning at St. Peter's. Interment was in Philos Cemetery. Born and raised in Piedmont, Mr. Gilmore was a son of the late John Patrick and Mary Keady Gilmore. For a number of years he was employed as a conductor by the B & O Railroad Company. In 1921, he went to Toledo, where he was employed as a maintenance foreman of a department store. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Toledo, and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. His wife, Lola Uhl Gilmore, and son, John Patrick Gilmore, a student at a medical school at Hillsdale, Michigan, accompanied the body here yesterday. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. George Cleaver, Piedmont, and Mrs. Katherine Greenway, Pittsburgh. Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore spent several months here in 1946. During that time he underwent a serious operation at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, and visited in the Cleaver home while he was recuperating.
