    John William Gray, 60, husband of Mrs. Nettie Belle (Bridges) Gray, died 
yesterday at his residence, 942 Gay Street.  He had been ill 15 months.
   Mr. Gray was born at Harpers Ferry, W. Va., a son of the late Samuel D. and 
Susan (Foreman) Gray.  A former employee at the B. and O. Bolt and Forge 
Shops, he held membership in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Cumberland 
Aerie No., 245, F. O. Eagles.  
   Besides his widow, survivors include four sons, Paul W. and Charles Gray, 
this city; Donald F. Gray, serving with the U. S. Air Force in Arizona, and 
Thomas E. Gray, at home , and three daughters, Mrs. Norris W. McFarland, 
Baltimore, Mrs. David E. Yates and Mrs. Allen E. Miller, this city.
   Mr. Gray also leaves a brother, Theodore Gray, Cumberland;  one half-
brother, James H. Deetz, Chicago, and two half sisters, Mrs. Ida Reynolds, 
this city, and Mrs. Thomas E Lee, Keyser, W. Va..
   The body will remain at the home for services tomorrow at 11 a.m. Interment 
will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
