"Details In Grove Death Received-James Denis Grove, 75, Uncle of 
"Lefty" Grove Dies Just Before Wife's Funeral-Lonaconing-Details 
of the deaths of James Denis Grove, 75, of Route 6, Chambersburg, 
Pa., last Thursday were received here by relatives.  Groves died 
in a Chambersburg hospital less than 24 hours before the funeral 
of his wife. Mrs. Alice Kate Grove, 66, who was found dead in 
the kitchen of the Grove home on Monday, April 8. Friends visited 
the Grove home Monday evening and found Mrs. Grove's body in the 
kitchen, and her husband in a weakened condition in a bed in an 
upstairs bedroom. Mrs. Grove's death was due to a heart attack, 
while her husband, of pneumonia....Born in Lonaconing, he was the 
son of the late Robert T. and Catherine (Dye) Grove and had 
engaged in farming throughout his life.  He was an uncle of 
"Lefty" Grove, former major league baseball pitcher."
