"Sunday Times" Cumberland, Maryland, 13 Jul 1947: "
Mrs. Mary Josephine Hall, 49, wife of Bertran Hall, 132 Main Street, Ridgeley, died 
Friday afternoon in a Westin, W. Va. hospital. Mrs. Hall was a native of Lonaconing 
and a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Josephine (Daughtery) (sic) Murphy. She 
belonged to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Ridgeley. Besides her husband, she leaves 
a son, Robert Joseph Hall, Ridgeley; three brothers, Bernard. A., Francis G. and 
John J. Murphy, all of Ridgeley, and two sisters, the Misses Rose and Sarah Murphy, 
at home. The body was brought here to the Stein Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be 
celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church. Burial will be in SS. Peter 
and Paul Cemetery."
