Hannon, 50, of 72 West Hampshire Street, died suddenly yesterday while at work at Westvaco, where he was electric shop foreman. A native of Westernport, he was a son of Mrs. Frances (Burns) Hannon, McLean, Va., and the late Joseph A. Hannon Sr. A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Aubrey-Stewart VFW Post 5957, Victory Post 155, American Legion, Westernport, and Tri Towns Lions Club. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Margaret Lee (O'Brien) Hannon; two sons, Robert J. and John C. Hannon, at home; two brothers, Robert Hannon, McLean, and William Hannon, Westernport; two sisters, Miss Rosemary Hannon and Miss Frances Ann Hannon, McLean. The body is at the Fredlock Funeral Home, where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited there tomorrow at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church.
