"LONACONING-Gerald Gordon Hartley, Pasadena, Md., a native of Lonaconing, died yesterday in 
St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore. A graduate of Central High School, he was a son of the late 
William and Irene (Grindle) Hartley. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Rita (Logsdon) Hartley; 
two sons, Barry and Michael Hartley, Pasadena, and a brother, Maurice Hartley, Baltimore. He 
was a member of the Holy Name Society and the American Legion. The body is at the Gonce 
Funeral Home, Seat Pleasant Beach, Baltimore. A requiem mass will be celebrated Monday 
morning in St. James Francis Catholic Church, Baltimore. Interment will be in National 
Cemetery, there. His mother-in-law, Mrs. Mae Logsdon, will attend the services."
