The Cumberland News 6 June 1970 

Westernport Mrs. Amanda Belle Haywood, 90, widow of Thomas J. Haywood, 
died Thursday at Kyle Nursing Home in Lonaconing.  Born in Broadside, Pa., 
she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah Stephens Troy.  She was 
a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bethlehem Chapter 14, OES, 
and the WSCS.  She is survived by four sons, Paul Haywood and Thomas J. 
Haywood, Jr., both of Luke; Norman Haywood, Keyser; and Holmes Haywood, 
Piedmont; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Wolfe, Luke; 19 grandchildren; 37 
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  The body is at 
the Boal Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 
to 9 p.m.  Services will be conducted there tomorrow at 1 p.m. by Rev. 
Sumner Sawyers, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church.  
Interment will be in Philos Cemetery.
