The News, Frederick, Maryland, Wednesday, June 23, 1948

Funeral services were held from Mt. Pleasant Baptist church near Lucketts, 
Va., Monday at 2 p.m. for Charles Jones a highly respected colored man, aged 
65 of Lucketts who died on Saturday in the Loudoun Memorial Hospital following 
an operation.  He was the son of the late Frank Jones and Mrs. Alice Ambers 
Jones and is survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Mattie Robinson, Mrs. 
Bessie Newman and Seavison Jones all of Lucketts.   Rev. Twyman of Paenoian 
Springs conducted the services and interment in the cemetery by the church.
