The interment will take place at Mt. Savage but the time has not yet been set. She leaves five children, namely: M. P. Kearney of Fort Hancock, New Jersey, Wm. Kearney and a sister Mrs. Flood, of Youngstown, Ohio; John Kearney, and a sister, Mrs. McHugh, of Cumberland," Note: the named sisters are actually her daughters. The Cumberland News, Cumberland, Maryland, Wed 23 Mar 1898: "FUNERAL OF MRS. KEARNEY--Her Remains Will Be Taken To Mount Savage Tomorrow Morning--The funeral of Mrs. Ellen Kearney, whose death was noted yesterday will take place tomorrow morning. The cortege will leave the late residence of the deceased on Lee Street at 8 a.m. and high mass will be said at St. Patrick's Church at 9 a.m. The remains will be taken thence via the Cumberland and Pennsylvania railroad to Mt. Savage and interred in St. Patrick's cemetery at that place. The deceased was well known in this county, having been a resident here since 1839. Messrs. M. P. Kearney, Fort Hancock, New Jersey, William R. Kearney, Youngstown, Ohio, sons, and Mrs. Mary E. Flood, a daughter of the deceased, arrived here today, to be present at the funeral."
