James Keegan, aged 22, left Elk Garden late Friday for Thomas to secure work. On Saturday morning about 4 o'clock, his body was found on the railroad, his head and shoulders having been severed from his body by the cars. The remains were brought to Elk Garden Saturday evening by his father, and on Monday taken to Westernport for interment. It seems that the unfortunate man's death was the result of robbers. There was no money on his person." This file is located at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/md/allegany/obits/k/keegan-j.txt
