Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 9 Apr 1943: 
"Mrs. Sarah Catherine (McCleery) Keegan, S3, widow of Thomas J. 
Keegan, died last night at her home, 453 Columbia street, 
following an illness of several months.  She had undergone a 
major operation at Allegany Hospital February 27.  Born near 
Tunnelton, Preston county, W. Va., October 25, 1879, Mrs. 
Keegan resided in Elk Garden, W. Va., and Meyersdale, Pa., and 
Barrelville prior to coming to Cumberland.  She was the mother 
of William Vincent Keegan, a well known local restauranteur and 
sports promoter and also is survived by two daughters, Mrs. 
Charles J. O'Toole and Mrs. Stanley Francis Spicer, of 
Cumberland; one sister, Mrs. Margaret McCleery Hayden, Beaver 
Palls, Pa.; two brothers, Bradson McCleery, Mt. Lake Park, Md.; 
Jerome McCleary, Johnstown, Pa., and seven grandchildren."
