Cumberland News, Cumberland, Maryland, 28 July 1969: 
"William Emmett Kelley, 86, formerly of Cumberland, died in the 
Summit Nursing Home,Catonsville, where he had been a patient for 
four months.  Born in Cumberland June 29, 1883, he was a former 
employe of the City of Cumberland Street Department and was also 
a former employe of the old N.G. Tinplate Mill.  He was a member 
of Cumberland Aerie 245, FO Eagles, and the Labor International 
Union of North America.  Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his 
wife, Mrs. Violet  (Reed) Kelley, March 30, 1956 and since then 
resided with his daughter, Mrs. Charles R. Wheeler, Catonsville.  
Besides his daughter, he is survived by five grandchildren and 
17 great grandchildren.  The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral 
Home where friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 
9 p.m.  A requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. at 
St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial will be at the parish 
cemetery.  The rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p. m. at the 
funeral home.  Members of the Eagles will conduct a service today 
at 8 p.m. at the funeral home."
